How your Donation is Used
Your donation is greatly appreciated, as all funds will specifically assist with research for Lyme/MCAS, grants for Lyme/MCAS patients, and marketing/educational tools for our community outreach efforts.
Research
AHLF co-sponsored a 50k research grant with Global Lyme Alliance in December 2018. This work was one of our first priorities and made it possible to have Alex’s name attached to scientific research. We will continue to raise funds for MCAS research with future fundraising opportunities.
Grants
AHLF awards annual financial grants to those suffering from the debilitating effects of Lyme and/or MCAS. These grants will aid patients with diagnostic testing or treatment, which unfortunately is not always covered by insurance.
Community Outreach
AHLF is making strides in the Central Valley with educational initiatives. We are working with the Girls Scouts of Central California South to roll out Lyme curriculum. In addition, AHLF has set its sights on providing local elementary schools with Lyme books for their libraries.
